FT. LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA (USA) - The Nav-Tracker GPS tracking system from boat security systems supplier GOST will be used to monitor the progress of Liza, a Outremer 13-meter catamaran participating in the 2010 World ARC Rally, organized by the World Cruising Club. Over 30 boats will leave St. Lucia on January 6 to cruise across the world’s great oceans on a circumnavigation of the globe, returning to the Caribbean about 15 months later.
Nav-Tracker can be used to track a boat (or an entire fleet) from anywhere in the world with an internet connection. A boat can also be viewed on Google Earth and as new reports come in from Nav-Tracker, they are automatically updated to the site.
“With Nav-Tracker installed aboard Liza for the 2010 World ARC Rally, we have an excellent opportunity to demonstrate the unique vessel tracking and monitoring capabilities of our system literally around the world,” said GOST President Jay Keenan. |
